Steph Roulstone has been a medical secretary for over 25 years. She has been Mr Kitsis' Personal Assistant and NHS secretary since 2001. Steph has vast experience in dealing with Orthopaedic secretarial issues and will only be happy to assist with any non-medical questions you might have regarding your consultations and surgery.
Dr Ahmed Haroun, MBBCh, MSc, Associate FRCA, MD Dip. Med Ed., Consultant Anaesthetist
Dr Haroun has been an Anaesthetist for over twenty years with a keen interest in regional anaesthesia and teaching. He has worked in anaesthesia for trauma and upper limb surgery in major trauma centres in 3 countries. He is also an Honorary Lecturer of Regional Anaesthesia. His aim is to provide a safe and pleasent experience for upper limb operations through using a multimodal anaesthetic approach.
Dr Mreenal Singh, B BCh, FRCA, FCARCSI, Consultant Anaesthetist
Dr M Singh graduated from Cardiff University in 1993. He completed his postgraduate Anaesthetic training in June 2005. His interest in Regional blocks occurred early in his anaesthetic career as an Senior House Officer in 1998. Currently he provides both upper and lower limb blockade under ultrasound control and has developed a pathway with Mr Kitsis to deliver hand surgery at the Treatment Centre under regional block only. He is also Associate Clinical Director for Anaesthetics and Theatres.
Dr TJ Bhatti, Consultant Anaesthetist
Dr TJ Bhatti graduated in 1976. He had his Anaesthetic training in the UK from 1980-84. He obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 1984.
Dr Bhatti had sub-specialty training in anaesthesia for liver transplantation in USA. He has worked in 5 countries including USA , Sweden and Middle East.
He has been a Senior anaesthesia consultant in Burton on Trent since 2002. Dr TJ Bhatti works both privately and for the NHS at Queens Hospital, Burton on Trent.
He also works at the Derby Nuffield private hospital and Little Aston private hospital
Dr Bhatti Introduced the ultrasound-guided nerve blocks in Burton in 2005. This made a significant contribution to performing most of hand, wrist and upper limb operations as day case procedures.
He regularly teaches ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia techniques internationally, nationally and in the region. Dr TJ Bhatti promotes the use of regional anaesthesia in developing countries by lecturing and running the workshops.
He has been running a course in Burton on the use of ultrasound for nerve blocks since 2006. Active member of RA-UK, Society of ultrasound in anaesthesia and European Society of Regional anaesthesia.
